Creating Sustainable Communities
Where the social equity, the environment and the economy are paramount.

Michele Rodriguez Consulting is committed to creating sustainable communities. I assist municipalities, businesses, non-profits and faith-based organizations address global climate change by assessing their contributions and providing a range of strategies for change.

My conviction is to simultaneously address the 3-E's of sustainability where social equity, the economy and the environment are considered when developing and implementing policies and programs.

I educate your staff on sustainability by exploring the depth and range of its definition to understand the differences between green washing and closed loop thinking. The goal is to help you identify your commitment, which will help to guide your future actions and our work together.

Once your guiding principles are defined we can work together to assess internal processes and external choices (energy use, purchasing practices, transportation choices, vendor selection and expectations, water use and re-use, building options, landscape and toxins use).

My specialty is to design policies, programs and processes that address global climate change by helping you to "green" your practices, products and services.

My background is diverse in that I have an undergraduate in Urban and Regional Planning and a graduate degree in Urban and Regional Planning and Economics. I have worked both in the private and public sectors conducting a variety of planning activities related to long-range strategic planning and program development.

Cities Tackling Climate Change

Many cities around the world have sustainability development plans in place, but few are daring to tackle the issue of sustainability, climate change and oil depletion together.

An Integral Approach to Developing Strategies

An integral approach to forge new strategies for local government. Seeing the connection between various systems is critical to creating a community response to these challenges.
